The discomfort.
The inconvenience.
The embarrassment.
The isolation.
The frustration.
You are not alone. Pelvic floor disorders affect more than one third of women in the United States. If you have been suffering from urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, or pelvic organ prolapse for a few months or several years, it is never too late to seek treatment.
I understand what it is like to be a woman and a mother living with a pelvic floor disorder. I have experienced some of the same symptoms my patients face and know what it can feel like and how it can affect your daily life. As I listen to my friends, family members, and patients who have faced or are currently struggling with pelvic floor symptoms, I know how difficult they can be. The good news is that these conditions are treatable. Helping my patients improve their health and quality of life is truly rewarding, and I am thankful for the opportunity to do so.
